my review
Author Isaac Asimov (1920-1992) was a sci-fi writer and professor of Biochemistry at the University of Boston. The Collapsing Universe starts with multiple stages and forms a star can take on and builds a very strong foundation for the final chapter of the book that finally covers the mysterious black hole. Through a star's birth, death, and potential collapse, it was endlessly intriguing and conveniently condensed for such a topic.

my review
Author and journalist Mary Mycio goes headfirst into the irradiated Chornobyl Exclusion Zone donned with a dosimeter to talk to people who have called the Zone home, the Chernobylinterinform, and study the way plants, animals, and families have been effected in the blossoming nuclear wasteland left behind in Ukraine's portion of the Zone. An extremely interesting book I finished quickly in around a week when Hurricane Helene ripped up fiber optic cables for miles in every direction where I live. Without any source of power anywhere in the summer heat, this book was so enthralling I brought it everywhere with me and could barely tear myself away from it.
